Prompt to Resume on the Restart Not Working
- 6 months ago
I apologize for the misleading answer earlier. I was using the modern player, but after reading your post again, I’ve just realized that the issue occurs with the classic player. I can confirm the same issue happens when the classic player is used instead. The 'Prompt to Resume' will only appear if the Desktop view is checked on a mobile device, which I don’t consider a viable solution. However, by adding or modifying a single line of CSS in story.html, I can get the 'Prompt to Resume' window with the Continue and Restart buttons, as shown in the screenshot. I honestly can’t recall how this prompt should look in the classic player, but I was able to properly continue where I left off or restart as intended. I would recommend reaching out to Articulate support so they can at least log this as a potential bug or similar issue.
Hello, I've the same problem, can you help me to resolve the problem?Tks
Hi TatyZF,
Thanks for reaching out!
Are you able to provide some details about what you're experiencing? Here are a few clarifying questions that will help us troubleshoot:
- Does this issue happen for one specific course or multiple?
- Is it happening only when you publish?
- Does this persist on both the desktop and a mobile device?
- Which player are you using?
If you're more comfortable sharing your answers privately, you can submit a support case! Please feel free to share a copy of your course as well, and we'll delete it once troubleshooting is complete.

Hello Kelly,
The problem occurs in the classic player option. In all courses and PC and mobile Use Chrome. It does not occur if I update to the modern version in the player. Thank you

Hello TatyZF,
Thanks for sharing additional information with us!
I understand from your reply earlier in this thread that you are working with Update 97. We've had a few updates since then, which might be a factor impacting your experience in Storyline.
- As a first step, I recommend installing the latest version of Storyline 360 Update 99 to see if that fixes this behavior.
If you are still experiencing this after updating Storyline, I recommend sharing your .story file here or in private by opening a support case to help investigate this further. We'll delete it when we're done testing!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
