published as video is different than Preview
Dear Lauren,
Thanks so much for looking at it. That does indeed solve the problem with these slides--I made a video of it too, and it was perfect. However, I'm afraid I'm still a bit confused: In the original lesson, all of the layers are set to hide after 37 seconds (or when the learner clicks). When I adjusted to record the video demonstration, I added a trigger on the base layer to open the relevant layer, a trigger on that layer to hide the layer at the end of the timeline on that layer, shortened the timeline on that layer, and then added another trigger to the base layer to jump to the next slide when the timeline ends on the slide. I did not change the other layers in any way--left them all with the 37 second timelines as they would remain hidden, and so not affect the timing (I assumed). The entire project played perfectly well in Preview, the only problem came when I exported it as a video, and then only with that one slide. I still can't figure out what was different with that slide.
At any rate, the video is completed and sent to the client, so thank you very much!

You're very welcome, Janette! This was definitely a sneaky one! The two objects you have on the Layer, boxed goods, disappear at the 8-second mark but the timeline continues to play while nothing is showing on the layer. The rest of the layers stop around the 8-second mark. I've walked through your project again to explain why the project looks like it's hanging. Here's the 3-minute tutorial!
