Quiz and Acknowledgment
Hi Bill! Great question. I recorded this quick Peek for you with an idea of how you could accomplish this with a quiz and a list block in a lesson after the quiz!

Is there an option for this in Storyline? We tried adding the acknowledgment into the quiz as a multiple choice question with zero points and the proceeded to the quiz. I can skip over the acknowledgment in the menu and proceed to the quiz resulting in a complete status even though I didn't select the acknowledgment. Do you have any ideas on how fix this issue? I'm able to accomplish this in Quizmaker by adding another group to the quiz with the acknowledgment at 0 points, but it won't work in Storyline.

Hi LorenHallmark-b!
Happy to help!
In Storyline 360, course completion is determined by how the Result Slide and completion Triggers are set up. When an acknowledgment is added as a multiple-choice question with zero points, Storyline still treats it as part of the Quiz, but it doesn’t automatically require learners to answer it before continuing.
Depending on the navigation settings and how your Result Slide is configured, learners might be able to skip the Slide and still reach a “complete” status. This happens because Storyline allows more flexible navigation and completion control than Quizmaker. Which enforces a more linear quiz flow.
To achieve a similar design in Storyline, a fellow community member shared an example using True/False Variables you may find helpful!

Hi Steven,
Thank you for your response! I did look at that example, but the customer did not want to include a "no" option. We tried adding the acknowledgement as a separate scene and having the quiz in the scene right after and then selecting both in the tracking settings before publishing. With that option I still was able to skip over the acknowledgment in the menu and go straight to the quiz and get a complete status in the LMS even though I never selected the acknowledgment. Do you know why this option won't work with the tracking settings specifying to track two scenes for completion in an LMS?

You could put the acknowledgement on the Success Layer of the quiz results slide and use the acknowledgement as the completion item. Learners will only see the success layer if they pass the quiz, so if they complete the acknowledgement, you already know they passed the quiz, since it was on the success layer.
