Quiz question requires selecting words from a sentence

Hey all - it's been a while since I used SL and I'm a bit rusty. I could use some help with a quiz for a business writing course.

Several questions ask the learner to identify the word(s) that is/are incorrect in a sentence. Each sentence may contain more than one word that is incorrect. Is this possible in a graded question? If so, what is the best way to do this?

Thank you!!

  • Hi, Deb.

I'm looking forward to the suggestions you'll receive from the community!

In the meantime, my recommendation would be to use a freeform Pick Many question:

Take a look at the example below:

Each possible choice is a transparent rectangle over each word (with the selected state having an outline):

    I hope this helps!

I was going to suggest the same thing, by using transparent shapes over the correct words. Also, you'd probably want transparent shapes over all incorrect words to signify incorrect choices.

I'm wondering if there might be issues with stacked items (buttons over words) will stay in their intended locations when seen on different devices, orientations, etc.
