Re-size 'handles' missing when working with Marker labels
I've noticed that the re-size handles (the small squares) regularly disappear from my marker labels making them impossible to re-size. I can move the location of the label by dragging but can't adjust the size. This is quite annoying and seems inconsistent. If I add another marker they can work on the new one but not on the old one!

I have just started building a new project and my apps are up to date. I'm having the same issue. I have managed to resolve it by zooming out to about 50% and the resize handles reappear.

I've had this issue too many times.
My workaround is holding SHIFT and then dragging the sides of the label.

Experiencing the same issue. Never had Storyline 3, started with Articulate 360 updating ever since. Current version is: Build 3.78.30747.0
Now I spent some more time on this weird bug. What happens is this:- I create a slide with 2 markers. All was fine.
- I copied the markers to the second slide and renamed them. I could not resize the labels anymore, a scroll bar would appear. Repositioning worked. I tried the SHIFT-trick of W Gill, it worked on the first marker label, but not on the second. I closed Storyline and reopened it. Then the SHIFT-trick worked on the second label.
- I copied the markers again to the third slide and renamed them. Could not resize the labels.
- Deleted one of the copied markers and inserted a completely new one. Everything worked correctly. The second (copied)) marker could be changed with the Shift-Trick.
Painful.
Hi Claudia,
I'm sorry to hear you're encountering this issue with the marker drag handles; I understand how this can be frustrating! Thanks for sharing the detailed steps to reproduce the problem on your end; they greatly helped my initial investigation.
I used the same Storyline version and tried to follow the steps; fortunately, the drag handles are still there and working as expected. Here's a 3-minute Peek recording showing my results.
If the issue persists and you're working on your local drive, try running these steps to fix possible installation issues. Please feel free to share a screen recording of your experience as needed; I may have done the steps incorrectly. I'm more than happy to assist further!

I had the same issue with the "drag handles" disappearing. What I discovered was they aren't gone just invisible. If I slide my cursor along the label's edge on the marker, I see the double headed arrow appear and can resize my label size. Here's a video https://app.screencast.com/HlXZwSuqT2MZi

Hello KevinFreeborn-4,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue. We are currently tracking a known bug that causes the drag handles to resize the marker text labels to become invisible after duplicating a marker with a state. Would you mind verifying if this description fits how you built your markers so I can add you to the bug report? This way, we can notify you when a fix is released!

That may be the case. I probably duplicated a layer. I added a visited state to the markers. I also deleted and created a new marker because one of the markers did not close when another was opened which left the audio play on both markers.
Hello KevinFreeborn-4,
Thanks for the confirmation. I've added this community thread to the bug report, and we'll reach out as soon as we have news to share!
