Removing the additional introduction screen that appears when viewing a course on a Mobile Device vs a PC (Storyline 3 file))
Hello,
I'm not sure if anyone has encountered this before as I couldn't find anything on the discussion forums.
I recently published a Storyline 3 file to be viewed on a PC and Mobile Devices. When I launch them there is an additional introduction screen that appears on the Mobile device when viewing the file.
For the life of me I can't figure out why it's appearing or how to remove that additional screen. I want to get rid of it because it creates an additional unnecessary click for users to launch the course (the first slide of the course is designed for them to launch it when they're ready).
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I've attached a screen shot of the screen I'm talking about.
Thanks in advance for your support.

As i have an older version of SL3 there might be a difference in publishing. Im missing these files in my published folder. I used your publish settings, zipped the folder from the SL window and then unzipped it on my HD to inspect it.
Do send me you zipped folder to check... - KyleEnns-61c26eCommunity Member

Do recheck this link.

On my Samsung its working as intended. Its your version with a fixed ds-slides.min.js file
As this is as needed...attaching the fixed ds-slides.min.js file. Exchange this in your published output and you should be fine.
Kind regards,

Hi Math,
Thank you again for your help. I really appreciate it.
Is there any way you can e-mail me the file instead to kyle.enns@princessauto.com
It won't allow me to DL it. Likely a firewall issue.
I'll give this a try and will report back.
Regards,
Kyle

Hello again Math,
My employers firewall must be blocking it from coming through. Could we try the WeTransfer route with the same e-mail address?

It worked!!!
Thank you so much :)
I'll give it a try on my course locally. The test link you sent me worked beautifully.
I'll report back later today

Hey Math,
Happy to report the course functions as intended. I can't thank you enough for your help with this.
Which lib>script files did you end up having to edit to add the modified code?
Can I simply use the updated script files you provided for all of my courses going forward, or are they unique to each course?
Thanks again!

Kyle

The ds-slides.min.js file is the one i edited. Im not sure whether you can use the same file for all your Storyline3 projects. I do think so, because code in it is general.
When Articulate updates Storyline3 then the file might be changed so at that point you need to redo it anyway.- KyleEnns-61c26eCommunity Member
Thank you again Math. I truly appreciate the help.
Cheers!

Hi Math,
Happy to report back that I copied and pasted the updated script files into my other courses and it worked. The intro screen automatically skips to the first slide of my course.
Thank you again for your help!
I'm so grateful that someone was able to find a solution to this.
Take care!
Regards,
Kyle
