Restore Rise course from version history in Review
Hi Articulate team,
I was wondering if Rise and Review can work together to create a sub-version history of your course? For example, after working on a Rise lesson you find you need to add content that was previously dropped, or start over from an older version... if you have 4 versions of an Articulate Rise course in Articulate Review, can you select an older version and restore it to Rise?
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Save and restore your work with a click via an easy-to-access version list that captures manual saves and export events.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available. Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

Restoring from Review versions would be a very convenient way for version control. Please make it possible for collaborators to publish the same course into the same set of versions in Review. As of now, each collaborator is working with their own set of versions, which is not convenient - we have to switch between Reviews to see comments of each other.
I would love seeing side-by-side version comparison as well, to help me decide which version to restore.
I was using course duplicates to save versions, but it takes additional clicks to move from current course to main menu. Also, each duplicate has a different set of IDs in XLIFF exported for translation, and it is impossible to re-use previous translations on the new/old version made as a duplicate.

I came really close to accidentally deleting an entire course this morning and thought there must surely be some safeguard here. Shocking to find out there isn't!

Even the Review version isn't great it only gives you 1 past version (at least thats all that is available to me)! PLEASE get this fixed ASAP to save us all time - stuff happens and to have to recreate is tedious!

A new theme just completely wiped out the formatting I spend hours perfecting. PLEASE tell me there is a version control feature that will undo this mistake. :(

This is really disappointing that this feature hasn't been included. Since Rise is created and stored in the cloud there is no way to subversion on a developer's end. It then becomes the cloud platform's responsibility to subversion the content. I agree with the replies over the last several years: "this is basic." Please work on this Articulate.

Folks, if this feature was going to be developed, it would've been completed by now. Obviously, it's not (nor will be on their roadmap). You'll be told: "Wow! That's a great idea!! Put it on our roadmap!" which is only intended to placate you. The product is good but it's not world-class, and version control is going to remain a pipe dream. So, what did we learn? 1) Be careful and provide multiple version backups in Rise, and 2) If your software provider hasn't implemented change requests after FOUR years, they"ain't gonna!" Not happenin', folks. Time to move on; nothing to see here.
