Result Score wrong

Dear community,

I have an E-Learning with 10 quiz questions at the end. 5 of them are chosen randomly for the participant to answer at the end of the E-Learning and at least 4 have to be answered correctly in order to pass (80% passing score).

My problem is that I answered all of them correctly and the User Score only goes up to 71.42% instead of 100%.

Has anybody else faced this issue? If yes, how did you resolve it?

  • Hi, Tatjana.

    Thank you for reaching out!

Are you able to share the .story file either here or privately through a support case so we can see what's going on with your Results slide?

  • Thanks for reaching out to the support team, Tatjana. I can see you were able to work directly with Fannie May.

  • MarkMarino : I can't say how or even whether the issue was resolved for Tatjana. But here's something to check. Look at the questions in Form View and verify that they are all worth the appropriate points.

The default score per question is 10 points. I've seen other's quizzes get messed up when the points are changed.

Also be sure that Multiple Choice questions are scored By Question and not By Choice. The By Choice option lets you assign partial credit (i.e., some but not all points) for designated answers.

Either of those could be impacting the % in the Results.

If neither of those is what's troubling your course, I suggest you submit a case directly to the staff: https://access.articulate.com/support/contact

It was actually something else, when I duplicated the question banks, the Results screen added my knowledge check questions into the scoring mix, which is bizarre, but I was able to fix it by de-selecting the knowledge check questions for each of the languages.

Oh, yeah. A Results slide likes to assume that any question in the same scene belongs in its quiz. I'm glad you posted that, because it might help someone else who finds this discussion.
