Retrieving Data from LMS - When using pre-test
Howdy Articulate users and developers - I am wondering if there is a way to retrieve the learner data from the LMS report when a storyline project includes two quizzes. We have a test-out option and if learners fails they must take the final exam - which is then reported to the LMS upon passing or failing. Our reports are showing the questions and answers from the pre-test and they show the questions taken for the subsequent final exam - BUT it does NOT show the answers they gave and the report shows it as empty and incorrect. My client would like to have all the data so they can tweak trainings and questions as needed. NOTE the test-out has 1 attempt the subsequent exam has multiple attempts (if that matters). Our client is using the LMS Workday. The data seems to be there it just isn't fully transmitting all of the information.
It sounds like you’re dealing with quite a data puzzle. Since you’re using Articulate Storyline and Workday, the SCORM settings might affect the data transmission. Have you checked if the quiz results are configured to send all necessary data, especially for the test-out option? It might help to ensure that the reporting settings for both quizzes are set to include answers, not just question performance.
Since you're using Workday, it might be worth double-checking the SCORM setting to see if they're set to capture and send all response data for each attempt. Another thought - an identity validation service could help if you need a way to verify of track unique learner responses accurately, especially with different test attempts. It might give you an extra layer of tracking to make sure all data is recorded correctly, so you can get cleaner picture in the reports.
