It sounds like you have your slide's revisit behavior set to "Reset to initial state" in the slide property settings.
This causes the selected answer to disappear when the slide is revisited for a review. To fix the behavior, try using "Resume saved state" or "Automatically decide" instead. Let me know if this works for you!
