Rise - Greek characters issue

Even though I change the font in my project settings to be "Open Sans" (which supports Greek characters) it seems as though the font used is something like times new roman.

  • Welcome to ELH, Ioannis 👋

Thanks for pointing this out! I checked with our team, and it looks like the built-in fonts do not have any characters designed for the Greek letters â€“ so when a Greek letter is encountered, it uses the system font.

However, not to worry! A fast and simple workaround for this would be to find a font that supports Greek letters and upload it as a custom font.

I hope this helps, and let us know if you have any more questions!

  • Hello,

I am trying to display the Greek letters alpha and beta in the text of my course but they display as a and b although I am copying them from Word and pasting to Rise. Is there a font that supports these characters?

    Thanks

    Hi Gracie!

You can copy and paste any Greek symbols if you can't remember the ALT code for Greek letters.

Here you can see all methods on how to type symbols in both windows and mac.

    Thank you!
