Rise Learning Journal / Notes
Hi SamHill. This is a fantastic solution. I've been using Mike's solution and it's worked well for me in the past but with a current project it's not working in SCORM 2004. I'd love to use this solution but I only need the notes option on certain blocks. I'm posing questions for the learner to reflect on that will be available as a reference at the end of the course. Is there a way to do that? I might be missing something but I wasn't sure how to set that up in Rise. Thanks!
Hi - from what I have learnt- you'd need to identify that particular block using CSS and that frankly is way more complicated than I can deal with - so good luck and share it once you've done it!

Hi MadihaS and KateMackenzie, the application adds the note widget to all blocks, excluding a few, such as continue blocks. At this stage it cannot be configured for specific blocks.
How would you like to see that appear to the user MadihaS? It could be a configuration option that I add.

Like MadihaS I would only need it on some blocks not all.

Hi SamHill I found a solution that uses storyline blocks that looks great and is simple to use. Basically, I have a prompt or question in rise and then an open text field where they can enter their response in storyline. After that there 's a button to view or print also in storyline and when clicked it generates a PDF. Your note button could work too but it adds and extra click for the learner. The issue I'm working on with the storyline solution is editing the output which is just a blank PDF with a title and the responses entered. I'm trying to figure out if I can customize it to show the prompts before the learner's responses.
