Rise to Articulate Conversion......

I know this likely was asked somewhere else, but I couldn't find the direct response to this question.  Is there a way to convert a Rise course into a Storyline course?  For example, I may start with rise and then realize the content is too in depth or otherwise better suited for Storyline content.  Is there any feature that allows for this without having to start from scratch in Storyline?

Alternatively, I'm thinking that I can publish the rise content as a PDF, then have Claude convert the PDF into Power Point Slides, and then import that Power Point into Storyline as a starting point.  Are there any thoughts on that proposed process, or any other suggestions for how one might tackle the task of trying to get Rise content into a Storyline project without starting entirely from scratch?

Thank you all in advance.

I realize my headline should have been "Rise to Storyline conversion", but these boards do not seem to allow you to edit posts.  That being said, thank you for the feedback so far.

For future reference, you can edit your original post. That's tucked away under the gear icon in the upper right.

The Edit option for a reply is under the More (...) button.

As Jerson-Campos said, there isn't a way to convert a Rise course into a Storyline (SL) course.

Yes, you could use the PDF-to-PPT-to-SL route. Personally, I think you'll get a better course if you make the decisions about how to present the content and where interactions make sense. And that might actually be easier than trying to convert PPT-based slides into interactions.

Also, if you copy and paste the text from Rise into SL, there's no worry about AI altering the content.

The AI feature actually does a pretty good job of converting any specific imported slide into an interaction as, and where, needed.  Same with questions, they are clumsily imported just as a slide, but you can use the AI prompt to convert them into proper Storyline question slides easily.

Are you saying that if you just import a PP presentation that the software AI can change wording without you prompting it to do so?

Glad to hear it if you've had success with AI converting an imported slide. (I haven't tried that recently.)

You probably don't have to worry about the text changing when you're just importing the PPT slides. My concern was the possibility of Claude changing text when converting the PDF to a PPT. I brought it up because I've seen lots of discussions about AI changing text during conversions. Obviously, that would be more of a concern if the text has already been approved.

  • There isn't a way to convert Rise courses into Storyline. You would have to rebuild the courses manually in Stoyrline.
