Rounded rectangle caption shapes - corner radius

Hi all,

Client has asked us to change rectangle caption shapes to rounded corner rectangles.

When I do this, either by using the Format>Change Shape feature, or by creating a new caption shape... I CANNOT ADJUST the CORNER RADIUS of the captions (callouts).

The strange thing is, if my associate does the same thing - his corner radius is TOO BIG.

When I do this, my corner radius is TOO SMALL.

We'd like to make the corner radius JUST RIGHT.

I hope you can appreciate the Goldilocks nature of our problem.

How can we adjust this default corner radius on rounded rectangle caption shapes? Something must affect this setting because of the difference in default between myself and my associate.

Try replicating yourself - can you adjust rounded corner radius on rounded rectangle caption shapes? If not - what size are yours?

Please help before the 3 bears get home and eat me.

I just made a quick one.

The size/radius of the shape adjusts automatically when I move the yellow arrow, and I cannot figure out how to keep it from doing that.

The caption shape do not change, but I cannot change the radius or the rounded edges.

  • Hey Andi - This thread is a bit dated and it sounds like your issue is a bit different than what was originally posted.

Do you have a .story file to demonstrate what you are asking here?

I've been having a similar issue, but with the callout captions. The radius/shape of the callout changes automatically depending on where the arrow points, and I cannot change it or keep it uniform with the other callout boxes.

Is there a way to stop this from happening?

  • Hi Shane!

Have you attempted using shapes? You should be able to adjust this with shapes vs captions.

I've included a brief video to demonstrate. Hope this helps.

Now, the difference in the radius between you and your colleague could be due to your computer resolution or zoom settings in Storyline.
