Saving Bullet Point Formatting in Storyline
Hello brymatulay,
Thanks for checking in! We don't have any updates, but I've shared your interest with our product team. We'll update this thread with any news in the future!
Add me too. This should be a no-brainer to add. 80% of the slides in my courses involve bullet points and sub-bullets. The amount of effort required to format each and every one of these is staggering!

I completely understand, BillDane! Having to reformat bullets on nearly every slide really slows things down. We hear this from a lot of course creators, too, so you’re not alone. It’s not something we’re working on right now, but your context is really helpful if our team takes this on in the future. Thanks for speaking up!

If? This should have been in place years ago.
Instead we have "AI" which feels more like a a bunch of commands (summarize/change function/change question type/etc.) hidden behind a chatbot to appear like it's AI - this is what it feels like to use it.
AI is the buzzword of the century and AI fatigue is real.

That’s a crucial feature to have. When working on a course with 18 units, and each unit containing nearly 100 slides, it’s incredibly frustrating not to be able to set the color and size of the bullets in the master slide and instead have to adjust them one by one.

For Pete's sake, just be honest. If you can't do it just tell us. We've been asking for this for 9 years. If it's not on your priority list by now you really just don't give a toss about your customers. At least show some respect and tell us the truth.

Add me to the 'frustrated users' list - wow, 9 years! 😞The bullet issue is like so many other Articulate 'basic' SL features that appear missing when you folks tried to duplicate PowerPoint. We moved to iSpring Suite years ago and thought we'd dip our 'toe' back into the Articulate 'pond' in the past year. The SL 'water' is still quite 'icy'. (Note: we have many issue with iSpring as well and tickets for basic fixes are not getting attention on that platform either)
People like Tom and Dave (Articulate Gurus) are amazing, but it sure would make their lives and OURS so much easier and productive to have a format painter that actual painted ALL formats (like bullets), a Master slide that includes bullet symbol and sizes, a text box widget that automatically resizes the text to fit the box when pasted into it and many other basic things that come out of the box with PowerPoint.
As I continue to take LinkedIn learn Articulate courses (love Dave's) and seek help in the e-Learning Heroes community when I expect a feature, that most times I find out people have been asking for years and years (sigh), I am struck with how difficult many things are to accomplish in Storyline 360. Perhaps as I learn more things will become more obvious.
Oh - and someone mentioned the SL AI-assistant feature - got to hand it to Articulate - the one in Rise 360 is amazing...but the one in Storyline is next to useless if one hopes to feed source documents to it, and ask it to build interactions and slides (my expectation after using this feature in Rise). Hopefully these basic feature get fixed and the AI updates in the future will allow you to build at least simple interactions and slides.
But don't go chasing the AI-hype at the expense of delaying some basic features improvements like this bullet issue - please!

Hi JaySlay,
Thanks for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback! I can hear the frustration, and you make some excellent points about core authoring tools like bullet formatting, text handling, and workflow consistency. These are all areas that make a big difference in everyday use.
I have shared your notes with our product team so they can review each of your suggestions, from improving bullet and text formatting controls to enhancing the AI Assistant in Storyline.
Feedback like yours helps us focus on what matters most to course creators, and we really appreciate you taking the time to spell it out so clearly.
