'Score by Choice' counting only the highest score per question
That's because this quiz doesn't have a regular fixed cut score; instead, it has a passing range (say 25-27). Anything more or less will result in a fail. Therefore, some of the 'non-gold standard' answers (potentially with a higher score than the correct answer) will be allowed as long as the sum total sits within that range, so I just can't assign the highest score to the correct answer— that will dilute the scoring. The other concern you raised, I was planning to check the Quiz.PassPoints variable with a trigger on the result slide. However, I've come to discover that Storyline doesn't have an out-of-the-box mechanism to facilitate a pass-fail grading on the basis of a range. I think I'll have to use a combination of triggers, custom variables, and most likely a hidden graded question slide to implement this. I believe you understand what I'm referring to. As a veteran, if you know of some other methods, please let me know. I will honestly appreciate that. Thank you very much for your time and support.
As I was reading your reply, I thought, "That probably needs a hidden graded question." 😁
Best wishes for success!
