Seeking Advice on Training Advocate Program
Hello everyone,
I work at a company with 1,200 employees, and we are brainstorming ways to better reach and support our various departments and teams. We get a lot of e-learning requests but we are not sure we are hitting everyone.
One idea we're considering is creating a Training Advocate Program. The goal of this program is to establish a bridge between L&D and other departments. Advocates would:
- Communicate their department's top training needs to the L&D team.
- Build relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) to support training development.
- Serve as the "eyes and ears" for their department, helping us identify opportunities and challenges.
We're in the initial stages of rolling out this program, but I'm curious:
- Has anyone implemented something similar in their organization?
- If so, what worked well, and what challenges did you face?
- Any tips or advice for ensuring its success?
I'd love to hear about your experiences or insights!
