Show/hide side bar by on-screen object
How can I control (show/hide) the sidebar by clicking on-screen button in Modern player?
using SL360 v3.71

I am not aware of a trigger than can adjust those properties. I can see a work around where you have multiple versions of each slide - one with the side bar on and one with it off - and trigger to jump between those slides, but I doubt that juice would be worth the squeeze.
