Showing Time in Storyboard 1 Timeline and in the Audio Timeline

When trying to time sometimes hundreds of objects on a slide , one method I use is to listen to the audio recording and write down timing for key words and phrases I want to animate on the timeline.  Unfortunately, there is a MAJOR discrepancy between how the audio timing and storyline timing show time.  For example, in the audio timeline (i.e. when you click on an imported audio file in the timeline), the audio timing is in minutes. i.e. If I had 3 minutes and 30 seconds worth of recording it shows as 3:30.00.  When I move to the storyboard timeline (at the top above the slide objects), this is in seconds.  So, 3 minutes and 30 seconds is actually 60+60+60+30 = 210 seconds.  You can see the frustration on having to do endless conversions between the two.  I would suggest having a conversion button to allow the user to switch back and forth.  If this isn't possible, then there should be only one uniform method of documenting time.  I am not sure whether Storyboard 2 has fixed this problem, but Storyboard 1 has this issue.
