SL 360 - Creating a mandatory quiz question
Hello!
I'm creating a quiz and I can't seem to figure out how to make it mandatory for a user to answer all questions prior to submitting. I think I'm overthinking it a bit. I'm okay with a user being able to skip questions as they work through the quiz, but before they get to the results page I need them to be prohibited from submitting if they have left blank questions.

This User Guide article describes how to set up a Quiz so the user can submit all of their answers at the same time: https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-360/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-submit-quiz-answers-all-at-once
That links to another page that describes confirming learners are ready to submit their answers: https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-360/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-confirm-learners-are-ready-to-submit-answers
To actually prevent them from submitting if any questions are unanswered, you'll need to track each question with a T/F variable. Adjust the variable to True when an answer is selected. And only enable the final Submit button with conditions that check whether all of the variables = True.
It’s worth the effort to learn about variables and trigger conditions, because they provide the real power in Storyline. Here’s more info:

The other option is to use the standard set up for graded questions, which require the user to submit their answer before moving to the next question.

Thank you so much - that was beyond helpful! I'll check those links out.

After including T/F variables on each question I'm experiencing some serious lag when I preview the course. I uploaded it to Review as well and the same issue is occurring. I also tried it on multiple WiFis. Any thoughts on this?

Adding a T/F variable to track each question shouldn't cause lag in the course.
You might want to submit a case to the staff. You can do that here: https://access.articulate.com/support/contact
