How to create multiple drop locations using variables?
Hi, i'm looking to create a sudoku game in storyline, I think the best way would be to create using multiple drop variables? This is something new to me in storyline though. Can anyone suggest a good tutorial/s that would help me? Ive done a few searches but so far coming up short. Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
Having multiple interchangeable correct drop objects for multiple correct drop targets isn't currently something that Storyline can do. A solution to your problem may be to colour-code each 3x3 square. For example the red 3 is clearly meant to be dropped in the red 3x3 section of the board rather than the blue section of the board that also needs a 3. If the red 3 was dropped in a blue drop target it would be graded as incorrect even though technically it could still be correct according to the traditional rules of sudoku.
You could also force users to play the game by completing one 3x3 section of the board, one column, or one row at a time rather than by playing randomly across the whole board at once.
The other option would be to use a different method of user input. I personally would suggest using a combination of variables and numeric entry fields to achieve the desired result.
