Slide number is wrong
The first slide in the first scene of my Storyline file is coming up as slide 7. The first slide in scene 2 is slide 1. Please help.

is it based on menu position?
Ummm, I'm not sure and to be honest, I don't know how to tell.
You can set the slide number by menu or by project if you use menu (this is default) then you will need to edit the menu. On the home tab select player and then edit the menu.

Thank you Phil! That helped. All slides are in the correct order now except for the first three.
They are still not correct.I FINALLY figured it out. Thanks.

Since this is an older discussion, I'd like to get more information on what you're experiencing or looking to accomplish. Is the order of your slides on the menu different than what you have in your Story View?
If you go to the Player Properties > Menu, you should be able to reset your menu so it matches your Story View:
On that screen, you can also manually change the order of how the slides appear.
