Slide Show in RISE
Can a RISE course display a PowerPoint slide show? I want to have one of my lessons in a RISE course link to a slide show that was created previously in PowerPoint. (It is saved as a .ppsx file.) Thanks so much!

Hi there, Raymond! You can add your PowerPoint slideshow file quickly using an Attachment block. Your learners will be able to download and launch the slideshow. Here's an example to test.
Let me know if you have any questions!

HI there ... Thank you for the response. However, I am unable to open your slideshow attachment. (That's the same problem I had when I tried with mine.) Each time I get this error message:

However, if I open the file normally (not as a download), the slideshow plays perfectly.
Any ideas?
Thanks so much ...

Hey, Raymond!
It looks like you meant to share a screenshot, but it didn't come through. Could you click here and attach the screenshot to a new reply?

Thanks, Raymond! I found this Microsoft Office support article that should help you: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/error-can-t-read-file-or-presentation-cannot-be-opened-7f2f31e2-d4dd-4c1f-9e27-ba6fadf92d44
Try those steps, and let me know if that works!

Hi there,
I would like to make a hyperlink (not attachment) to the slideshow view Power Point file and it doesn't work as I copy the link from my folder.
What happens when I copy the link is that my ppsx file opens in normal view and not it slideshow view. Attachment would be "heavy".
Does anyone has an idea?
Thanks
Ina
Hi Ina! You'll want to host your PowerPoint on a web server or on a shared drive (like Google Drive or Dropbox). Then, you can get a link that points to the PowerPoint presentation.
