May I suggest you take a look at this week's ELC challenge #535 “color of the year,” and especially at my demo. I use a very similar effect, though not identical, using JavaScript code. I am sharing the .story file and also indicating where I got the original code and the name of its author. Let us know if this helps. Merry Christmas.
