States switch automatically without trigger

Hi Eileen

if you are using the built in states some of them have 'super powers' in that SL knows what to do when you hover, click on (selected or visited) click off (normal) so using triggers with these states can cause issues -you may need some custom states to do what you want.

I've checked your file slide 2.9

On one of them there is no clicked state - it's been left as visited which as an inbuilt state does  not need a trigger (it will change to visited when the user clicks it)

So for the first button I removed both the hover trigger and visited trigger and I think it's working as expected...see this Peek video

If that's the case, I would format paint this button to the other buttons which will create the same visited state, then delete your custom 'clicked' state and remove any triggers that say change state to hover or change state to visited - these are automatically happening for you.
