STL360: will not allow me into import an MP4 video

STL360. version 3.51.24979.0 Windows 10. I can't insert an MP4 video into a layer. I get an error that tells me to ensure I have the latest versions of Windows Media Player and Apple QuickTime P...

Hi Katie,

The specific codecs are not included in our system requirements.

Are you able to play the video as a standalone?

I've opened up a support case on your behalf so that you can work directly with one of our support engineers who can share some additional insight and recommendations. You should be hearing from someone soon.

    After more testing, the issue seems to be the MP4 file itself. I imported the MP4 into Replay, published back out, and then I was able to insert that "new" MP4 into the STL layer.

    So it was more that MP4 file than STL being buggy.
