Storyline is extremely slow
Hello everyone!
Happy to share that we've just released a new update for Storyline 360!
In Update 129, we've included essential fixes and new features. We've released a fix for:
- Lines and arrows in imported PowerPoint slides didn’t display correctly.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help.
Hi all, I am facing the same problems (still, even if it is 2 months later). Storyline is extremely sluggish. I have imported powerpoints with animated drawings. Making any changes to these (even only changing font size) takes ages. I use the same computer as half a year ago (Windows), so nothing changed in terms of hardware. And back then Storyline was fast enough. I use the latest Storyline version. I have replaced all missing fonts.
Hi TanjaAcker,
Thanks for sharing that context. I'm sorry to hear Storyline has become so sluggish, especially when you're making simple edits.
Since you're already using the latest version, working on Windows, and have replaced any missing fonts, here are a couple of additional things to try:
- Make sure you're working from a local drive rather than a network location or synced folder, such as OneDrive.
- Try importing a few of the affected PowerPoint slides into a new Storyline file to see if you notice the same slowdown. This can help determine whether the behavior is specific to the project or more general.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, we'd be happy to take a closer look. Please reach out to our Support team here, and we'll help investigate what's causing the slowdown.
