Storyline xAPI and SCORM simultaneously
I have a Storyline project that uses xAPI and it's working perfect, reporting to an external LRS.
The LRS info, including actor name and email, is provided on launch using a redirection page that gets the LRS endpoint, auth data and actor name and email, and passes it to the Storyline publication using the slxapi url parameter.
Now I need to package this as SCORM and publish to SumTotal. The publication parameters allow to package it as SCORM and use an external LRS at the same time.
How do I manage to pass the LRS info dynamically? apparently the parameters get lost during the multiple redirects that SumTotal does before displaying the final window with the activity.
Thanks!

Hello HarleyOBrien501,
I'm glad to know that publishing your course using xAPI is working correctly! I understand you are currently having trouble publishing your Storyline project to include the external LRS Report.
- To ensure that your course publishes with your LRS report included, make sure your Report to an external LMS option is checked.
- You mentioned the parameters are getting lost in your LMS after supplying the actor. Have you or your LRS admin tried using our LRS Launch Test guide? This will ensure the correct values are set up for SumTotal.
- What SumTotal product are you using? I'm sure it would be helpful to share in case others have worked with this and can share what has worked best for them when publishing.
If you are still having trouble displaying your course correctly in your LRS, I recommend contacting the SumTotal Team to ensure your configuration is correctly set up.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
