Svg files for SL360 on the roadmap?
Hi, wonder if and when you are planning to let SL360 support svg images?

Send in a feature request and have anyone else who would like the feature to do so also. The more honest voices the better. Include a sentence or two business case. Then pray :)
Let's see, Captivate has had this for what, three or four years already . . . ?

Feature request submitted. Fingers crossed our requests are heard and they move forward with this ASAP!

Nothing yet . . . :(

My hope is that if we can keep the thread alive, and keep it in their line of sight, we might actually get this basic, necessary feature in the nearer future. Since the squeaky wheel gets the grease, I am more than happy to squeak!

Any updates on this yet? We're desperately needing this feature!

In addition, the PPT method is only for the simplest of images--from my testing, more complex images will often yield poor results. And sometimes PowerPoint's import will cause translation issues itself that get "inherited" when brought into SL360.
At best, what we have now is a fair but inadequate "band-aid."
Direct SVG import with perfect results from the original SVG is needed--badly. ASAP. Yesterday if possible. ;) :)

Hi Gerry,
I have a quick question for you. I was also on the bandwagon for this update, and now that they have incorporated it, my workload has doubled! I used to use the workaround with PPT and got very good at it. Now I cannot use that method any longer, and all SVGs come in as un-manipulatable (sorry for that word!) objects! I cannot change colors, break them apart, or anything that I could do before with a PPT > SL SVG. Any ideas on what I can do? Do you know any way to get these images to be changeable once in SL? Any ideas welcomed!
Thanks,
Reina

Thing to remember here is that you are bringing an svg into PowerPoint, which then converts it to a PowerPoint editable graphic, which you then can recolor, then save out as a png for SL360. So the SVG is not being imported into SL360 but you are using PowerPoint simply as an image editor and convertor. If you use illustrator on a daily basis then using PowerPoint is pointless. Using an SVG directly in SL360 would mean resizing in the slide and no loss of quality at any size or resolution. Once in SL360 you cannot edit the png files colors.
Thanks, Joshua. You're in the right place to be notified of any additional updates in the future. We are still tracking this request.

Adding my bump here. We need direct, easy import of SVG images. Saving the image into an PPT and then importing the PPT is a hassle.
Hello everyone,
I wanted to pop in to let you know that there was an enhancement included in the latest update to Storyline 360 that you may be interested in:
Enhanced: SVG images on PowerPoint slides import into Storyline 360 as native shapes. You can customize their fill colors, line styles, and shape effects. Details here.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
Please let us know if you have any questions, either here or by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.- DarrenNashCommunity Member
That option requires extra steps especially for those of us that do not use PowerPoint content imported into Storyline. It has always been possible to create and icon in Illustrator, save it as .EMF or .SVG, import it into PowerPoint and then edit the object as a native Microsoft graphic object. What I want to do is save as SVG and bring it directly into Storyline and be able to edit the object etc. If Storyline recognizes the SVG from a PPT file then surely it should be possible to recognize an SVG directly imported into Storyline?

Do you know if this is possible now?
Hello Johfra and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
I'd love to understand your need and use-case so that I can pass it along to the team.
It looks like Alyssa shared the information above in how these are handled.

SVG Support is from my perspective one of the most important features that should be added to Storyline a.s.a.p!

SVG-support would be much appreciated!
