Hi there, Angel. So sorry you're running into this!
It sounds like you went through these steps to switch (or import) a custom player in Storyline, is that right?
Would you be willing to share the .xml file with me for testing? You can share it privately by using this upload link. I'll dig in to see what could be causing that error, and will delete the file after!

Hi Abby,
Thank you for reaching out!
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. Since this is an older post, I'd like to ask a few clarifying questions.
- Are you working from your local hard drive?
- Have you tried these steps when saving and switching players?
You can certainly share your file with us here, or privately in a support case so we can investigate this further!

Kelly,
Yes, I tried to import the file. IT was shared with me and I saved it to my computer... should I do something different?
Hi Abby,
Would you be willing to share your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a look at why you are having difficulties importing it? We'll delete it when we're done troubleshooting.
