Storyline 360: Working with the Player

In Storyline, the term “player” refers to the frame around your slide content. It holds navigation features, including the menu, seekbar, previous and next buttons, and more.

You get to choose which navigation features are added to your player, and you can customize the colors, fonts, and text labels. You can even turn off the player for a chromeless design when you want to use your own navigation buttons. Learn how to customize your player below.

Modern and Classic Styles

Exclusively in Storyline 360, you can choose the modern or the classic player. The table below gives a brief comparison of the two styles, and this article provides more details.

Modern Player	Classic Player
The modern player gives desktop and mobile learners a fresh, unified experience that’s consistent across all devices.	The classic player looks different on desktop computers and mobile devices.
By default, the modern player scales smoothly to completely fill learners’ browsers on every device and screen size.
