The preview looks different than the published version

Hi Team, when I preview the project in Storyline, the transitions, audio, and mouse cursor, all the items look great and in sync on every slide. But when I publish the project, the slides are ahead of the audio and the screen recording. I checked, and every slide has a trigger that moves to the next slide when the timeline ends. I don't know what else to do to fix this issue without starting from scratch. Any ideas? Thank you :-)

Did you publish it to the Review site or are you just previewing it in Storyline? Some things do not show up in a preview that later happen in the browser version. Have you checked the settings in Story View for each slide?

Have you checked on your Slide Master that there is not something going on there?

    Good luck!

Thank you, DonnaEMulder ! I checked that, too, and the issue has been escalated to the engineers because we found out that version 3.96 may have a bug. The timing issue was gone when the engineers and I tested version 3.95. But with the latest version, the timing is all off. Thank you so much for your post :-)

Good to know. I am currently using 3.94 since I had issues with the text displayed in the transcript panel with 3.95. I was going to test the new update this week, but I think I will hold off if there are additional issues cropping up.

  • I too am having this issue and placed a support ticket. I have not heard from anyone yet, but, is the workaround to publish in version 3.95?

SheilaJackson-C- yes, that's the workaround I was given. Try it and add your results to the ticket. I shared our file with the customer support team, and they were able to replicate the issue.

  • Thank you MonicaAten. I have followed up with the support team with details of my issue as well and have been able to move forward with the workaround for now.
