Translation export
Hello,
We discover a problem with the translation export in Storyline 2. When we have a text in Storyline 2 in bold or italic, the translate export doesn't show the text correct. The export is a normal text without the correct style. Are you familiar with this problem?

Hi Suzanne,
Yes, this is a known issue. It'll be fixed in the next software update for Articulate Storyline. Enable the Check for updates at startup feature to be notified when the update is available.

Hello everyone!
I'm using the latest version of SL2 (Update 12 : 1705.520) and am still having this problem with the text formating being ignored when exporting for translation.
Is this still an issue? Is there something I can do to correct this?
Thanks!
Hi Annie! Sorry you're hitting this. What kind of formatting is lost when you export for translation?
I did a quick test with bold, italics, and bulleted text, and those formatting options remained after the export process.

Hello! My problem is not with bold and italics, but with the bullets and the paragraph spacing.
I added a word document with images of my project so you have a better idea of my problem.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Annie,
What version of Storyline are you using? Could you share a copy of your .story file so that we could take a look?

Here is a sample of the template we are using.

Hi Annie,
Thanks for sharing the file and the example. I took a look at your file in Storyline 2 and saw the same behavior, so I also checked in Storyline 360 and it seems the paragraph spacing is not kept upon import there as well. I'll report this to my team as a possibly software bug, sometimes my team catches errors in my logic and we don’t have a bug after all. Of course, if that’s the case, I’ll let you know!
Depending on priority and risk, some bugs can be fixed quickly, while others take longer to resolve. Here's more information on how we identify and tackle bugs.
I’ll let you know as soon as we have an update on this issue. Thanks so much again for letting us know about this, and I’m sorry it's causing you extra work.
