Triggering a Layer Problem

I have created a slide that has a JPEG on the base layer with directions to click a cetain area and the area has a hot spot to advance to the next slide. I then have another layer that has ...
In story view, when I select slide 1.2, the arrow indicating jump triggers moves to the right, and when I hover over it says, "Jump to next slide when user clicks" referring on clicking the hotspot.
When I select slide 1.3, the arrow indicating jump triggers doesn't move to the right, and when I hover over it says, "Jump to next slide when user clicks Next button".
That tells me that it isn't reading this trigger:
The probable cause is that it is somehow corrupted. Deleting that trigger and rewriting it solved the problem.
