The perennial error has returned. Unable to update an existing bit of text (to speech) because of the error. I did close Storyline, log out, and then log back in and restart it. Nope.

Hi CarlFink1! I appreciate you sharing these updates with us and I agree, it is hard to tell what the culprit is here. I'd like to bring in our Support Engineers to work with you directly so I've submitted a support case on your behalf. It is escalated to their team so they will follow up with you via email to begin troubleshooting. I'll keep an eye on the case to see what the fix is!
