Unable to perform simple print Javascript function

Hi Articulate 360 Storyline users,

I am struggling to perform the simple window.print(); function. I followed the instructions that Owen kindly provided via this page: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/building-better-courses/print-anything-in-storyline

The instructions were clear. However, I am not sure why after publishing the slide and I click on 'Print Page', it doesn't work for me. Does anyone know the solution?

Please advise.

Thank you!

  • Have you published to the web and tested? Works fine for me when tested in review

  • Hi Phil,

Thanks so much for responding to my question so quickly! I published it here: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/5db716b4-4af0-427d-bbde-84a20d8531ed/review

I wondering if I am opening it in the wrong browser? May I know what browser you are using or how are you opening it? Maybe the way I am publishing and testing is wrong?

I tried using the latest Chrome and Microsoft Edge to open the published page.

    Many thanks for your guidance.

  • I published to review and tested in Edge (PC) and Chorme (MAc) only tested the first slide but the point dialogue opened on both

  • Hi Phil,

Thanks for testing it. Am I publishing and testing to review incorrectly? When I click on 'Print page', nothing happens on my end?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

  • Hi, Research Impact Canada.

Thank you for sharing your .story file!

I experienced the same as Phil: when I published it myself to web or Review 360, it worked in every browser I tested with. However, the Review link you shared above didn't work for me.

Take a look at my test here, and let me know if the Print button works. If so, I recommend publishing it again, as a new item.
