Undo option?
I don't know if I missed it, but if there isn't one already, Rise really needs an "undo" option. I just accidentally deleted text from a course I was reviewing and it took forever to find the original text to restore it. A simple undo option would have saved a lot of time.
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Save and restore your work with a click via an easy-to-access version list that captures manual saves and export events.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available. Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

HEY ARTICULATE: ANY CHANCE of a real UNDO button?? Signed, Frustrated Lost-an-Hour Man

WOW. I cannot believe there is not an undo function. I was searching for a bit of text and instead of "Control F" I over-wrote the entire block of text with "F" and cannot seem to get it back. This is bonkers that an online editing tool does not have a version history and an "undo" option. What a headache

Have you tried Ctrl Z? This normally works with text sections if you do it straight away. The main issue is when you delete an entire block or section and can't undo :(

Leonie - thank you for your suggestion. I believe this is discussed previously in the thread. Its the Block level that if you delete on accident, you're screwed. Pffft...
So there are things really great about the rapid development Rise has, but there are still myriad issues that make it (at this point) a grand step better than Power Point.

CTR Z only works if you're still in that window. Rise with it's auto-save makes it very easy to navigate away from the window. I didn't even notice I had over-written a large block of text until too late.
For anyone else searching this thread for hope - I was able to find the deleted text in "review". If you publish to review, that content remains as-is, regardless of changes made in Rise (until you publish to review again). Further, publishing to Review gives one the option to overwrite the previously published version (or save a new one).
I think Rise should have "some" level of version history/control that allows "undo" or "roll back" but in the meantime, publishing to Review and saving with a date/version can be a possible workaround. I'm sure glad that I had published to review and was able to find the deleted content, including formatting, in Articulate Review. - kileyshockmanCommunity Member
How is this still not a feature flaw that has been addressed! I submitted a feature request but am blown away that this has not already been done!

Are there any plans on making the "undo" button after deleting a block linger for longer than a few seconds?
Hi Elizabeth!
We've heard lots of similar requests from other Rise 360 users, so that's something we're considering! We'll let you know if we make a change to the Undo feature.

Hi Alyssa, thanks for the reply! Glad to know it's on the radar.

Now hold on. There actually was a program that didn't have an undo. It was Wordstar 1.0, invented in 1986!!! LOL

This is insane 3 seconds to notice a tiny hard to see box or your work is gone forever! No the CTRL Z combo did not work no matter how many times I pressed it. A whole morning of work gone poof! I am heart broken I have made a feature request to have this dealt with in a better way

This still seems to be an issue. Undo comes and goes very quickly. Is there another way to undo? Ctrl-z also is not seeming to work in Chrome. A whole section deleted in an instant.
Hi Sara!
When you delete a block in a Rise 360 lesson, the Undo button appears on screen for 6 seconds. The Control + z keyboard shortcut will work to undo text deletions, but it will not undo a deleted block.

I think this needs to be improved. I agree with the others that a recycle bin or a prompt would be more helpful. 6 seconds to see the message and decide if it was meant to be isn't long enough.
