Uploading a Rise360 course to Thinkific

Greetings all! A client of mine uses Thinkific for their LMS and I'm have a horrible time importing a Rise360 lesson to the LMS. There are two options for using SCORM content. Either externally hosted (I don't have a hosting site) or upload a content file (.zip). Well, I downloaded a web version zip file of the Rise360 course, but I keep getting an error message stating that the zip file is empty. The zip file isn't empty, but it looks like it's wanting HTML5 content, which the Rise360 web version download doesn't include a HTML5 file. Does anyone in this community use Thinkific and, if so, have you successfully imported Rise360 content in it? I appreciate any suggestions!

  • Hey Tamela,

Thinkific is very finicky. The problem is that the html file is in the subfolder so Thinkific is unable to access it. Here's the work-around:

    1. Export your course for web
    2. Unzip the file that it creates
    3. Go into the content folder and rezip everything again
    4. Then upload that new zip file as a multi-media lesson.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Tamela,

When you publish a Rise course using the Web option the result is HTML5 content.

The ZIP file of consists  several folders and files.

Hi everyone on this page. Does anyone know if all the interactivity (e.g. hotspots) that you can create with Rise 360 carries over into Thinkific?
