using a course launch link within an LMS

Is anyone using a course launch link for content authored in either Storyline or Rise? We currently author content in Storyline and then upload it into our LCMS, Xyleme. From there, we are looking into using a private launch link in order to track our learner's progress through Xyleme. I'm wondering if anyone else is using launch links to track progress and if any bookmarking issues have arisen?
