Using icons or symbols in text or numbered list blocks in Rise360
Hello,
I am creating my first Rise360 course and am using text blocks and numbered lists to show step by step instructions for a software application. The software application uses some icons and/or symbols in its UI and I would like to use those in the written instructions so its easy to follow and mirrors the software UI. (I am also using screencast videos to show the steps but each is followed by written step by step so the learner can watch and then follow the written instructions.)
Is there any way to do this?
Thanks very much!

Besides emojis, you cannot use your own custom icons or symbols in text or numbered list blocks in Rise 360.
Hi there, Deb!
There are a few ways you can insert symbols in a Rise 360 text block:
- Search for the symbol on this website: http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/search.htm. Copy the symbol, then paste it in the text block.
- Copy the symbol from a Word document, and paste it in the text block.
- Open the emoji keyboard, and the third tab in on the emoji keyboard has symbols.
- For Windows, press and hold Windows key + Period (.) to open the emoji keyboard.
- For Mac, press and hold Control + Command + Spacebar to open the emoji keyboard.
Let me know if one of those options works for you!

Are there any plans to add an icon library to Rise 360? That would be very helpful.

Hi FSU Center for Prevention & Early Intervention Policy,
Thanks for checking in on this! There currently hasn't been any movement on this as we prioritize other features. We’ll update this discussion when there is any news to share about this.
