Video Color Issue
Has this been resolved? I am having an issue with video changing color in Storyline. It's pretty but it does not go with the other slides.
Hello S Ruy,
That's quite a drastic change that's happening to your video when its imported into Storyline 360. The bug discussed in this thread has been fixed, so I'd like to see if the behavior you're experiencing is specific to your video file.
Would you be willing to share a copy of your video file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

We are still seeing colours changing when importing mp4 videos into storyline, you mention that this bug has been fixed but there are many video colour profiles and video codecs available which may have not been catered for in Storyline or with this bug fix.
Instead of us sharing the project files to look for issues with specific video files would it be possible to specify the most compatible colour profile and/or the video codec please?
I know that FLV and MP4 are the preferred file types but if we are building custom animations in aftereffects and importing them into SL it would be much better if we know what we are targetting compatability-wise. As we see this a lot and have yet to see a fix suggested in the forums.
The way we are having to workaround this issue is once the video is in SL we have to do a colour pic and change the colours to match the imported video. This is not prefered as it means we are changing brand colours and in some cases the colour change is quite dramatic.- JoseTansengco3 years agoStaff
Hello Kris,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue too. This article lists all of the supported video formats that you can import into a Storyline 360 project. As for color profiles and video codecs, there isn't a specific format that you need to follow.
One troubleshooting step that you can do is to re-encode your videos if you're encountering any issues with how they are imported into Storyline 360. Handbrake is a great tool for this. You can download Handbrake here, and this helpful Youtube video shows how you can use it to re-encode your videos and change the profiles and codecs that they use.
If re-encoding doesn't help, please open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at your videos.
