Video file sizes changing
What is the resolution to this issue? I'm replacing videos in a course that is updated each year. In the past there has been no issue because the files are about the same size. But this spring when I went to update a course with 700 MB of video replacing 1000 MB of video the file is too large for our LMS. Support's response seems to indicate they have no idea that there is an issue with this. Yet I can find support threads dating back to at least 2018 reporting this problem. So why doesn't support seem to be aware. Is this a bug? It seems like it's a bug that gets fixed and then gets reintroduced in subsequent releases.

Thanks for following up on this.
Our engineering team has looked into this issue. As you mentioned, similar reports have been made in the past. We found that uploading videos with higher resolution and bitrate minimizes the size increase due to file transcoding.
I see you've also raised a support case and contacted my colleague, Lejan. He recommended changing the video quality to static before publishing. Let me know if you still encounter this behavior after applying the steps above. I'd be happy to assist further!
