Visited Hyperlink Text Style is not applied
Greetings -
I am setting up a template using custom Theme colors and have run into an intractable problem with the visited hyperlink state.
In the file where I have set up multiple masters with the custom theme colors (and fonts) applied visited hyperlinks are showing in one of two ways, neither of which is correct:
- Both the original normal and visited colors are showing at the same time (seemingly overlaid on one another), or
- Only the original normal color is shown (no indication that it has been visited)
I have repeatedly set, reset and rechecked the visited color with no change in behavior. the behavior occurs in both Preview and Published forms.
I have also created a basic file using the same custom theme colors, but no other modifications to the default slide master, and in this file the hyperlink states work as expected. So it appears that the problem is not caused by the theme colors.
I have attached both below, along with a screen shot of the anomalous behavior.
I am stumped. Any advice appreciated.

Hello CherylGreen,
Thanks for reaching out! I tested this behavior on my end and was able to experience the same behavior with the text colors overlapping.
Since this behavior appears to be isolated to your one project file, I have opened a support case on your behalf to connect you with our talented support engineers. Our team will be in touch shortly via email. You are in excellent hands!
We'll continue the conversation in your case, so everything is in one spot!

I am having the same issue. Is there an update on this support case?
Thanks!
Hi KatharineSingh-,
Sorry to hear you're also having trouble with visited Hyperlink States in Storyline.
Checking CherylGreen's case, it sounds like the issue was related to their specific Template file. First, please try importing any problematic Template file into a new file. This step helps to eliminate any corrupted elements that may be causing erratic behavior.
Also, if your affected file is stored on a network drive, we suggest moving it to your local hard drive. Working directly off a cloud drive can introduce unexpected behavior such as this.
Let me know how it goes!
