What does Storyline 360 send to the LMS when tracking criteria are met?
Hi!
I need to understand what Storyline 360 tells the LMS, depending on the report and tracking options I choose.
When the first tracking option is fulfilled, what does Storyline send to the LMS? Does Storyline send the report status chosen in the LMS reporting option? Or does it send Complete or Passed depending on the tracking option?
For example: if I choose "Complete/Incomplete" for the reporting option, and I choose the quiz as a tracking option. When does Storyline send the status to the LMS: when the quiz is passed only, when the quiz is done even if failed, or when the last slide has been seen? What does Storyline send to the LMS: Complete (as I chose in reporting options) or Passed (as I've chosen a quiz as a tracking option)?
I hope you can help me with that!
NB: don't bother with how the LMS will interprete the status send by Storyline, this is another subject I think I've found an answer to.
Hello - not sure if I understand your exact question, but wanted to toss a couple of resources in here that have been a big help to me over the years.
I will say that when publishing for Storyline for LMS, you can select one or multiple tracking options, but I'm not sure if (when) multiple criteria are met (e.g. user completes a quiz and views all slides) if the *first criteria that is met* is the one that determines what is sent to the LMS, or if it's the last criteria that is met, or both.
Also, if you choose "Complete/Incomplete" as your reporting option, and a quiz is one of your completion options, a completed status will be sent to the LMS if the quiz is passed, and an incomplete status is sent if the quiz is failed.
