What is the best way to add a link?

Hey y'all,

What is the best way to add a hyperlink trigger?

So here's what is throwing me off: I can select the text and make it a hyperlink, or I can select the text box and make it a hyperlink, and I find both have their respective benefits.

  • If you select the text, the hyperlink text style gets activated, and the screen reader will read "link:" before reading the hyperlinked text.
  • If you select the text box, you can customize the text style, add states, and customize the alt-text.

But, what happens when you attach the trigger to both the text box and the text? Does it wholly depend on which trigger is on top in the trigger list? Does it depend on where exactly you click?

    On your third test item, if you change one URL, you can see that regardless of trigger order, the Textbox overrides. This in spite of the fact that when you attempt to click it in preview, you get two error messages, giving the appearance of trying to access both sites.
