Why does keyboard focus look different from mouse hover state

I'm confused why the focus state looks different when I use the keyboard to tab to a slide element than when I use my mouse to hover the cursor over it.

And, how can I make them look the same?

Here's a sample slide that I posted in Review.

  • Hey Brian! Keyboard navigation focus doesn't have an equivalent to a hover state with a mouse. So your keyboard indicator that you see is using Storyline 360's two-color focus indicator, and those colors will be universal throughout the navigation of the Storyline file, instead of being specific to that individual button or object that you're navigating to.

Got it! And I see that my project is using the Classic player which, if I understand correctly, only sets a single focus outline color.

  • Hi Brian,

I just wanted to add a quick note: it looks like your signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove it by clicking ‘Edit’ below your response. Here’s a quick Peek 360 video if you need help.

    Have a great afternoon!
