Zoomed Web Browser-Storyline Slide Size

Hi all,

I've had feedback that size of content needs to be larger on my Instructional Interactive slides where I've screen recorded the application.

Here's what I've done:

1. Set Edge Zoom setting to 150%

2. Record Screen in Storyline with 16:9 setting selected.

  • I also tried other screen sizes.

3. When I insert the slides into Storyline, they don't fill the entire slide. You can see the white space around the blurred content area.

Any help is appreciated on what to change the slide settings to, so the content fills the entire slide.

THANK YOU!

Holly

  • Hi Holly,

    Thanks for reaching out!

To make sure that your recording fills the entire slide area, you'll want to make sure that your screen recording size matches the slide size of your project

Would you mind sending us screenshots of the size that you chose for your screen recording as well as which slide size you have set for your project file so we can see if this is what's causing the appearance of the white areas in the slides?

Thanks Joe! After a little more digging last night, I found that I needed to change the screen resolution of my monitor. I adjusted it to 1280 x 720 and chose that size for my slide as well. Previously, I was zooming the web browser percent. So I think I learned that the sizes are driven by the screen resolution, which makes sense because that's what the slide dimensions really refer to. Understanding hardware concepts like this are not my strong suite!

      Thank you!
      Holly
