Thanks so much for surfacing this question in this community.

There will always be mixed responses, degree/no degree, and I don't think that conversation will die out any time soon. Maybe AI will make it irrelevant in my grandson's lifetime.

I don't have a degree.

From 2023 through mid-2024, I was unemployed. But, I was extremely excited to see more and more companies list positions with "degree in X, OR equivalent work experience in x, y, z."

I landed my current role because of the latter part of that language in the LinkedIn job posting.

Most of my work experience is with small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), many of which had fewer than 500 employees (some fewer than 25). Because of the nature of operating an SMB, IMHO, leaders in those organizations are more concerned with demonstrated ability.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I concur with the Super Heroes that have already added to this conversation.
