Localization News!

Hello, I just wanted to take a moment to share a couple of announcements that I'm super excited about!

The big news is that we just launched Articulate Localization, which allows you to translate, validate, and manage your courses from within the Articulate 360 platform. 😍 Check out this article for more information.

Along with that, I'm happy to share that we just launched a new Localization group where you can ask questions, discuss localization best practices, connect with others who work with localization, and more. Just hit the Join Group button to get started!

I'm curious, have you started a trial of Articulate Localization yet? Let us know in the comments!

I downloaded the trial version, and we are considering purchasing the add-on for a client project, where the RFP is closing soon. I have tried for 6 or 7 days to get pricing, but responses are slow! Two comments. The pricing model is difficult - we have no idea how many courses we will be translating or the number of languages we will be translating into. (Other companies I am talking to have expressed a similar frustration.) Second, why doesn't Articulate publish the pricing model, so we at least have some guidance? It would be helpful to know that 1-20 courses costs X, and the number of languages costs Y.  Is length of courses a factor? Having at least a basic pricing guideline would help us decide how much time to invest in the product while making the purchasing decision.

Yes, that would all be really helpful! This would be amazing for an urgent project but I'm concerned by your comments.

Very cool tool, will the translated courses still be available after the end of the trial?

Hi CarmenWippel When your trial ends, you will be able to save out your translations with each language version being a separate course or .story file. When opening a multi-language Storyline or Rise course, you'll be prompted with a dialog box that will prompt you to save out all of your language versions. Just a note that without Localization as part of your subscription, you will lose access to all Localization features - for example, the ability to manage multi-language courses as one item. Let us know if you have any questions!

  • So excited to see this launch, GingerSwart! For any folks working on localized projects, I can't wait to get to know you better within that subgroup.
