Localization – How to customize the language selection screen in Rise 360 or Storyline 360?
Hi AndrewBlemings-!
Glad to see CRios has been helping you!
I just wanted to pop in and share that the language selection screen is automatically generated by the publishing process, when exporting a SCORM package. I understand you'd like to have more control over the aesthetics of that page, and I've shared this feedback with our product team!
Also, if you're running into errors when uploading a multi-language SCORM package to your LMS, I suggest testing the published output in an LMS test environment like SCORM Cloud. If the course loads and plays successfully in SCORM Cloud, please connect with your LMS administrator to see if something could be getting in the way, within the LMS environment.
However, if the course also fails to load in SCORM Cloud, please connect with our team through a support case.
They'd be happy to troubleshoot this further with you!
Hello Steve, I just started using the Localization feature and have a question. While the language selection at the beginning of the course works fine, once a learner selects a course language, it doesn't seem to carry through to the Storyline interactions within the same course. Every time I get to a Storyline there is a black screen with a play button to play the interaction however this is not in the original source language. Is there a way to get your course to automatically recognise the language that was selected and just use those Storyline interactions without the black screen and play button? For example, see screen shot within French Canadian course when it gets to a Storyline interaction.
